JOil and Gas Production Operator
Location: Venice, Louisiana
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Oil and Gas Production Operator to manage day-to-day operations at our production facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production activities in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate production equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and take corrective action as needed.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and shift reports.
- Coordinate with opposite shift operators to ensure smooth handovers.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced operators.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Operate and maintain familiarity with SCADA systems.
Qualifications
- Reliable work vehicle (required).
- Ability to operate a boat (preferred or required, depending on location).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proven experience as an Oil and Gas Production Operator.
- Strong working knowledge of oil and gas production processes and equipment.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 (based on experience)
- Overtime: Time and a half applies
- Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation, 12-hour shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
