Job SummaryWater treatment operator should ensure safe and efficient operation of our water treatment & filtration plants. Operator will be responsible for running the WTP plants, monitoring and maintaining the quality of the water we produce, as well as complying with all environmental and health regulations.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain water treatment equipment and systems, such as pumps, filters, chemical feeders, and disinfection & dosing unitsOperate Deminerised water Plant independentlyMonitor and adjust water treatment processes and parameters, such as pH, turbidity, chlorine, and fluoride levels, to ensure optimal water quality.Collect and analyze water samples using various testing methods and instruments, and record and report the resultsPerform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on water treatment plant facilities and equipment, and report any malfunctions or defectsFollow standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response plansMaintain accurate and complete records of water treatment activities, such as meter readings, chemical usage, and maintenance logsCommunicate and coordinate with other water treatment operators, supervisors, and managersKeep abreast of new developments and technologies in water treatmentQualificationsND / HND in Engineering / Utility or equivalent3+ years of experience with water treatment plant operation and maintenance, or related fieldKnowledge of water treatment principles, processes, and chemistryKnowledge of environmental and health regulations and standards for drinking water qualitySkill in operating and maintaining water treatment equipment and systemsSkill in performing water quality tests and analysesSkill in troubleshooting and problem-solvingSkill in using computers and software applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
