<p><strong>Academics</strong></p><ul><li>OND/HND or B.Eng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Discipline.</li></ul><p><strong>Gender Preference</strong></p><ul><li>Female</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 8 years working as an Electrical Technician with hands-on and supervisory discipline experience.</li><li>Membership of other professional bodies would be considered an added advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Added advantage</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical line diagrams and drawings.</li><li>Experience in Generator control systems.</li><li>Experience in maintenance and servicing of Generator Alternators.</li><li>Experience in maintenance, repairs and servicing of Electric motors and panels.</li><li>knowledge of industrial electrical systems.</li><li>Skill in Equipment troubleshooting and fault analysis.</li><li>Skill in electrical installations.</li><li>Experience in LV power distribution system.</li><li>Familiarity with electrical standards and safety codes.</li><li>Knowledge of worksite hazard management.</li><li>Computer literate Competent user of Microsoft Office and ability to liaise with programs.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong coaching, mentoring, and listening skills who respect and value the opinions of others.</li><li>The ability to create and maintain cordial working relationships with colleagues.</li><li>Good Communication &amp; team-working disposition.</li><li>Good organizational and Networking skills.</li><li>Committed to professional development, and continuous Improvement mindset.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability.</li><li>Problem-solving and good analytical skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>The Electrical technician will be responsible for the following:</li><li>Provide planned activities to the supervisor, perform quality control duties, identify contractor noncompliance with HSE standards, ensure availability for intervention activities, and maintain a daily log of activities from job sites, as reported by QA/QC Engineers.</li><li>Maintains all HV/LV equipment, UPSs, protection relays, earthing, and lightning strike systems.</li><li>Knowledge of Electrical controls and monitoring systems</li><li>Skilled in maintenance of UPS systems</li><li>Strong communication and interface management skills when dealing with multiple parties, including Government regulators.</li><li>Provide support in decommissioning, repair, installation, and commissioning of black gas generators, UPS systems, switchgear, heater bundles, boilers, thyristors.</li><li>Asset Care routine to ensure PM/CM close-out and Integrity of Asset maintained.</li><li>Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.</li><li>Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning electrical LV/HV equipment, Generator/Electric motor etc.</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, and schematics.</li><li>Provide support in decommissioning, repair, installation, and commissioning of black gas generators, UPS</li><li>systems, switchgear, heater bundles, thyristors.</li><li>Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.</li><li>Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.</li><li>Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.</li><li>Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.</li><li>Performing general electrical maintenance.</li><li>Daily parameter logging, and records.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Cycle</strong></p><ul><li>The work location is field based.</li><li>The job activity period is daily on 12-hour 7am to7pm routine over a 21-day period.</li><li>There is a standard 3-weeks on and 3-weeks off schedule.</li><li>The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.</li><li>There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.</li><li>Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises.</li></ul>
