Title: Legal Administrative Assistant

Position Description Summary:
The Legal Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the General Counsel in a legal environment. This position drafts legal documents, manages schedules, keeps up with contract deadlines and renewals and ensures the efficient and effective administration of the office in an office setting (not remote).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare initial drafts, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents primarily leases, purchase contracts and supply contracts;
- Daily recordkeeping with electronic and hard copy filing of documents;
- Consult with other departments or functions (payroll, accounting, retail, etc.) as well as customers (Tenants, dealers, brokers, bankers etc.);
- Obtain relevant information from other organizations or agencies;
- Create and organize information and generate reference tools for easy use by the office;
- Maintain and update databases and tracking systems;
- Make certain that all records are filed correctly and kept confidential;
- Respond to all case-related queries information;
- Ensure efficient and effective administrative information and assistance;
· Regular attendance to work[EM1] ; and
· Other projects and duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Excellent skills in MS Office Suite;
· Notary;
· Ability to learn Docusign and Docuware;
· Ability to interact with all levels in an organization;
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
· Knowledge of data bases and tracking systems;
· Basic understanding of real estate and loan documents;
· Excellent written skills;
· Attention to detail and problem-solving ability;
· Excellent interpersonal skills;
· Reliable, personable and resourceful;
· Analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies.
Basic Qualifications:
· 3-5 years’ experience in a legal environment
· Paralegal certificate preferred
· HS diploma or equivalent
· Ability to handle data with confidentiality
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Excellent skills in MS Office suite.
· Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass MVR standards.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
