Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Work Engineer / Earthen Infrastructure Manager to oversee the construction, maintenance, and management of earthen dykes, dams, irrigation facilities, and laterite/dirt roads. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in civil work related to earthen infrastructure and will be responsible for managing a team to ensure effective and efficient deployment of resources.Key Responsibilities:Lead the construction and rebuilding of earthen dykes, dams, irrigation facilities, and laterite/dirt roads.Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upkeep and maintenance of dykes, irrigation facilities, and roads.Ensure adherence to SOPs for the upkeep and maintenance of earthen infrastructure.Formulate and adopt SOPs for flood arresting and protection measures.Prepare and monitor the annual budget for all land development activities and projects as planned by management.Ensure effective and efficient use and management of all earth-moving machinery, such as excavators and compactors.Manage and oversee the entire earthen infrastructure team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.Experience and Competencies Required:4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in civil work related to earthen dam/dyke construction, maintenance, and rebuilding, as well as laterite/earthen road work and irrigation canal maintenance.Strong experience in handling earth-moving machinery such as excavators and compactors.A bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in civil work related to earthen dykes/dams, laterite/dirt roads, or irrigation canals.
