DescriptionMonitor stock levels on the shelves and take care of what needs replacingWhere there are gaps or empty spaces on the shelves, make requisitions to the Inventory department for more stockArrange and restack items on the shelves to ensure the store is tidy and items are displayed in the right way.Ensure items are accurately tagged with the current pricesMonitor the expiration dates of goods and take appropriate action in line with instructions from the Manager or supervisor.Move goods with the earliest expiry dates forward and goods with much later expiry dates at the back.Assist customers with their shopping and attend to any inquiries in a polite and professional mannerGreet and welcome all customers and store visitors in a professional mannerEnsure that the fridges and freezers are switched on at the right temperatureAssist customers at the point of checkout, to bag their purchases and/or help them carry some items.Be alert at all times and be knowledgeable on the health and safety measuresWork with the Inventory team in counting, carrying and arranging stock.Be knowledgeable about products andthe store to direct customers on the location of items, price, use,andcare of goods available in the store with the aim of encouraging the customers to make a purchase.
