As an Intake Coordinator, you will be the first impression of Autism Learning Partners for parents / guardians of children who are seeking our services. As a Coordinator, you will work and manage an active caseload, receive inbound calls, make at least 30 outbound calls daily, and stay focused on getting our clients through Intake so their children can be scheduled for our services.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for emailing and updating clinical staff for status of client’s benefits and authorization process in a professional manner
  • Obtain appropriate information from Insurance companies for obtaining an authorization for services
  • Prepare and obtain documents needed for authorization
  • Log and update database of all reports received/due from clinical staff, clients
  • Update Central Reach and Sales Force database daily with accurate data, status changes, notes and/or communication from staff
  • Work closely with clinical staff and other staff in intake, billing and collections department
  • Respond to client inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems
  • Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, scanning, faxing and photocopying
  • Assist other authorization department staff and be a strong team player when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • At least Two years of Insurance Intake or Medical Billing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented in your work
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines
  • Strong Communication skills (both speaking and writing is a must)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and adjust workload accordingly
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and judgment capabilities

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background and reference check
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • Two years of Outbound Sales calling experience preferred
  • Previous work-from-home experience
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills (both speaking with and emailing clients)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and adjust workload accordingly
  • Ability to follow a Call Script
  • Ability to receive and apply coaching feedback
  • BA degree strongly preferred, but not required
