O J Wale Pillars Metal and Tech Limited is a Nigerian-based Solar Energy Company that is focused on Providing sustainable uninterrupted alternative source of energy solutions for home and businesses across Nigeria and to ensure that it’s eco-friendly and totally free from noise pollution. Our source of energy ensures conservation of energy and quick power supply for immediate utilization for end users. O J Wale Pillars Metal and Tech Limited was registered on 24th of April 2015 with the Corporate Affairs Commission. However, we have been in the Solar energy business since 2010 (10 years ago), while Battery Hunters Limited as subsidiary was registered on 19th July, 2019.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Purchasing Officer

Job Location: Akure / Idi-Agba Titun, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all customers are attended to within short period of time in a professional manner.
  • Scale all scraps batteries from suppliers and record same (both Kg/Pcs) to avoid discrepancy.
  • Prepare cash payment vouchers for every scrap transaction documented and approved for payment.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products and out of stocks products.
  • To coordinate the arrangement of Scrap Battery in the Warehouse properly and Assist where necessary in arranging them.
  • To ensure that all water in the battery are properly and well drain before purchasing takes place.
  • To facilitate the discovery of Scraps or fairly used battery which are classify as tested OK and confirmed their quality.
  • Keep and track the stocks level through accurate stocks keeping records for both Inverter and Okada/UPS Battery
  • Reconcile all cash received and retire all unspent cash on daily basis.
  • To monitor the Scaling Machine condition on daily basis for accurate scaling and recording.
  • To ensure clean and friendly working environment at all time.
  • To ensure all Scrap suppliers money are paid either through Cash, Transfer, POS and other means as approve by the Management.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND / NCE / HND
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Smart and good with numbers.
  • A female with sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Salary
N60,000 - N70,000 / Month.

2.) Delivery Driver

Job Location: Mafoluku, Oshodi - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper knowledge of loaded items
  • Assist in loading and offloading vehicles with items to be delivered
  • Ensure that the vehicle paperwork is in order and to also ensure that delivery receipts are signed
  • Fill in pertinent information such as mileage and delivery time in company-provided log books
  • Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle.
  • Change vehicle fluids on a regular basis and Clean the vehicle from the inside and the outside
  • Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading
  • Drive the vehicle to the point of delivery by using the best possible route
  • Take delivery instructions from supervisors before any movement
  • Make sure that speed limits are adhered to in order to ward off possible misadventures
  • Ensure that the delivery schedule follows the specification.
  • Daily monitoring of the vehicle condition and reporting any fault to the Logistics Manager.
  • Giving adequate updates on all vehicle documents for renewal as at when due

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND / SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 2 - 4 years of work experience.
  • Valid Drivers' license.
  • LASDRI license
  • Must be ready to work on weekends.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.

3.) HR Manager II

Job Location: Oshodi / Mafoluku, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Recruitment and Staffing

  • Oversee the recruitment process and ensure candidates fit the role and company culture.
  • Develop job descriptions and post openings on appropriate recruitment platforms.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with department managers and/or Management Team for final selection
  • Implement strategies to attract top talent in competitive market
  • Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring smooth integration into the company
  • Manage the Employee Engagement and Retention Process.
  • Process probationary reviews, confirmations, employee evaluations and terminations.
  • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the company.
  • Propose innovative and creative measures to address pressing staffing issues in the company at every point in time.
  • Prepare, develop, and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment.
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews and benefits termination
  • Analyze exit interviews and provide insights to management for improving retention

Employee Management & Policies:

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by administering contracts and helping to solve work-related problems.
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Perform more difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes & grievances, dismissal of employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Develop proposals for amendment and/or the introduction of new policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Develop communications structure and procedure for information dissemination.
  • Mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and management
  • Organize team-building activities and recognition programs
  • Handle employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances professionally and confidentially
  • Advise on handling redeployment and redundancy situations in respect of recruitment practice, contracts of employment, terms and conditions of employment, remuneration, resourcing, policies, and procedures to enable fair, consistent, and effective management of human resources.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure HR practices meet legal and company standards
  • Promote workplace wellness programs and initiatives
  • Lead the conduct of background checks on staff and their guarantors for data integrity and to facilitate employee confirmation process.

Performance and Career Management:

  • Manage the Performance Management and improvement systems.
  • Manage all matters relating to career development, talent management, performance improvement, and employee development for staff members.
  • Advise on and resolve performance related issues.
  • Perform analysis on key metrics/processes and recommend process improvements that maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure all job expectations, measurement standards and key performance indicators are communicated to all staff of the company and that they are clearly understood by all.
  • Prepare and report all performance measures and results to senior management.
  • Oversee career-path processing for employees and succession plan for key leadership roles.

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs based on both the company’s and the individual's needs as well as organize training sessions in conjunction with line managers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Develop and implement the training and development strategy of the company.
  • Prepare the training budget.
  • Develop and facilitate training materials for in-house courses.

Qualification

  • 3 - 5 years of work experience.

Salary
N170,000 - N180,000 / month.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
  • Manage all payroll matters and administer monthly payroll for the HeadOffice, and business (operations) in all outlets.
  • Administer employee files and records to ensure accurate payment of benefits and allowances.
  • Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; etc.
  • Ensure company’s compliance with labour laws, including reporting requirements on payroll.
  • Ensure all payroll-related issues are resolved promptly.

4.) Account Officer

Job Location: Oshodi / Mafoluku, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining financial records and timely processing of banking transactions.
  • Reconciling daily sales transactions on available software and bank statements.
  • Reconciling all purchases on available software with the daily purchase book.
  • Reconciling weekly stock movement (in conjunction with the Inventory Manager).
  • Refunds and Petty cash monitoring.
  • Make an accurate day-to-day entry of inappropriate ledgers for all business transactions.
  • Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Timely and accurate keeping of financial records.
  • Posting of daily office running expenses and daily cash received for scrap purchased
  • Posting of scrap transaction vouchers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of bank accounts.
  • Produce a weekly summary of income and expenditure for each outlet and Logistics unit.
  • Reconcile all purchases on available software with the daily purchase book.
  • Perform bank reconciliation of daily and monthly revenues.
  • Participate in periodic stock-taking and ensure accurate data records.
  • Check out and give an immediate alert to the Head of Account/Finance Manager whenever you notice any error of overpayment, underpayment, omission, commission and compensation error.
  • Adherence to established cash management procedures.
  • Effective expense management.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Accounting (Minimum second class upper or Upper Credit Preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in the Accounting field.
  • Solid understanding of basic Bookkeeping and Accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and other relevant accounting/inventory software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of accounting and software is an advantage.
  • Data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Time management.
  • Professionalism and organization skills.
  • Prerably a female for gender balance.

Salary
N130,000 - N140,000 / month.
