<p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><ul><li>This is a full-time on-site role for a Software Engineer/Developer based either in <strong>Accra</strong>, Ghana or <strong>Lagos</strong>, Nigeria.</li></ul><p><strong>The role involves:</strong></p><ul><li>collaborating with Business Systems Analysts to design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-quality business software solutions that meet organizational and user needs.</li><li>ensuring adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement processes.</li></ul><p>Note: our main software development tool is Claris FileMaker, a Rapid Application Development environment often presented as low code, though we do a lot of coding with it!.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science or related field.</li><li>Computer Science and Software Development skills.</li><li>Strong programming skills, proficiency in at least one programming language e.g., Java, Python, C#.</li><li>Experience in creating and maintaining software applications.</li><li>Knowledge of relational databases design and programming SQL.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud computing and services as well as version control systems/methodologies.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.</li><li>Understanding of software development methodologies e.g., Agile, Scrum and development lifecycles.</li></ul>
