<p><strong>Academics</strong></p><ul><li>OND/HND or B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering Discipline</li></ul><p><strong>Gender Preference</strong></p><ul><li>Female</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of 8 years working as a mechanical Technician with hands-on and supervisory discipline experience.</li><li>Membership of other professional bodies would be considered an added advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Added advantage</strong></p><ul><li>Disassemble/Assemble and Maintain Rotating and static equipment.</li><li>Experience in Engines, troubleshooting and maintenance.</li><li>Experience in pumps; and gear systems.</li><li>Experience in Atlas Copco SF11 and mobile compressors</li><li>Experience in Valves maintenance.</li><li>Experience in Pump Fluid-end inspections and driver/gear alignments.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Skill in Equipment troubleshooting and fault analysis.</li><li>Basic workshop machinery and welding machine use.</li><li>Knowledge of worksite hazard management</li><li>Computer literate Competent user of Microsoft Office and ability to liaise with programs.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong coaching, mentoring, and listening skills who respect and value the opinions of others.</li><li>The ability to create and maintain cordial working relationships with colleagues.</li><li>Good Communication &amp; team-working disposition.</li><li>Good organizational and Networking skills.</li><li>Committed to professional development, and continuous Improvement mindset.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability.</li><li>Problem-solving and good analytical skills.</li></ul><p>Roles and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>The Field mechanical technician will be responsible for the following:</li><li>Lead a team of Mechanical Technicians to deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.</li><li>Interpretation of machine and equipment maintenance manuals, technical drawings and diagnosis.</li><li>Repair, installation, and maintenance of Pumps, static and rotating equipment.</li><li>Use of diagnostic tools and mechanical hand tools for fault tracing, vibration detection and activity executions.</li><li>Asset Care routine to ensure PM/CM close-out and Integrity of Asset maintained.</li><li>Work preparations and material staging for work executions.</li><li>Routine machinery and equipment servicing</li><li>Daily parameter logging, records and mechanical lubricants management.</li><li>Routine fabrication using welding tools and materials.</li><li>Machining activities: lathe, grinding, drilling, dicing etc.</li><li>Job Risk Assessments / Permit to Work preparation.</li><li>Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.</li><li>Flange breaks, positive isolation, vessel de-sanding activities</li><li>Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.</li><li>Work closely with service Contractors towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.</li><li>Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Cycle</strong></p><ul><li>The work location is field based.</li><li>The job activity period is daily on 12-hour 7am to7pm routine over a 21-day period.</li><li>There is a standard 3-weeks on and 3-weeks off schedule.</li><li>The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.</li><li>There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.</li><li>Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises</li></ul>
