McGarvey Custom Homes is seeking a Warranty Manager for our Customer Care Division.
We are looking for an experienced individual to manage high levels of warranty service for the customer. You will be hands on along with being responsibile for supervising your designated warranty team, while maintaining a strong professional relationship with customers to ensure outstanding satisfacation.
Job purpose
- Manage high levels of warranty service for customer.
- Investigate all field inquiries from homeowners on warranty or billable job issue.
- Assign Custom Care Technician to each job.
- Keep Customer happy.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering and machine servicing.
- MCH Jobsite Inspections required
- Familiar with a variety of field concept’s, practices and procedures.
- Solve problems within given authority and work with others to accomplish goals.
- Directs all request for work from Job Superintendents to the Custom Care department.
- Meets daily with staff or work assignments and communication.
- Motivate, train and supervise Custom Care Technicians to top performance.
- Monitor field personnel for complaints, grievances, needs, personal problems, etc…
- Reports any subcontractors using unsafe or improper construction methods to Job Superintendent.
- Manage inventory and updates as needed
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Knowledgeable in the safety measures in the construction field.
- Proficient in: plumbing; interior finish; jack of all trades.
- Able to multitask several jobs at one time.
- 30-Hour Osha preferred ( Not required)
- 5 years of experience in warranty service or related area required.
Working conditions
This position:
- Works 7am to 4 pm, Monday thru Friday. Weekends if job requires.
- On call for week end issues.
- Is classified as full-time, hourly, non-exempt employee.
- Operates in workshop or job location environment. (interior or exterior)
- Routinely uses electric and manual tools.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filling cabinets and fax machines.
- Travel is required.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand for extended periods of time; lift heavy objects on a regular basis; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl. Exterior work as needed.
