We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Program Manager to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of building systems commissioning projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of commissioning plans, coordinate with multiple stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and facility personnel, and ensure all systems meet design specifications and performance requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing comprehensive work with 3rd party Commissioning vendor on commissioning schedules, managing budgets, and coordinating resources across project teams. You will conduct lead commissioning meetings, and oversee functional performance testing of building systems at program level. The role requires thorough review of design documents and specifications, development of test procedures, and verification of proper equipment installation and operation. You will be responsible guide the 3P Vendor for identifying and tracking deficiencies, ensuring their resolution, and maintaining detailed project documentation. Track schedule and KPIs for commissioning program. Expand the program to other business unit as needed.
Team Duties
- Lead Commissioning in the development and implementation the program at site level
- Provide constructability input into the design assist in the development of construction and commissioning procedures and plans, review and approve contractor design and installation proposals ensuring that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to
- Management of the main contractors including engineering design, fabrication, heavy lift vessels and construction and commissioning
- Establish and ensure the project has an effective Risk Management, HSSE, Quality Assurance and Control playing an active role especially during construction and commissioning phase
- Leads development and implementation of Commissioning strategy, standards, processes, systems and plans for a major capital project
- Leads performance management of commissioning performed by 3rd parties within the major capital project
- Monitors project commissioning progress, and in particular the critical path, in conjunction with the Project Manager to ensure achievement of schedule and budget targets
- Confirms all statutory and required third party commissioning permits are in place and that conditions associated with them are adhered to
- Leads implementation of risk and quality management plans to assure effective management of the project's commissioning scope of work
- Implements capability development plans to ensure appropriately skilled commissioning resources matched to underlying project scope
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- Professional certifications preferred (CCP, CBCP, or similar)
Experience:
- 5+ years of commissioning experience
- Building systems knowledge (HVAC, electrical, controls, etc.)
- Project management experience
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in building automation systems
- Understanding of LEED and energy efficiency principles
- Knowledge of building codes and standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
- Experience with CAD software preferred

Additional Requirements:
- Willing to travel – occasional travel that is reimbursable, could be local or within the US.
Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Remote (US Mainland)
Pay Range: $67 - $74 per hour
