Full Job Description

The VUIM Clinic is seeking a Clinical Receptionist (Full-Time) for our Duluth Georgia location.

VUIM is a private, non-profit institution dedicated to producing educated healthcare practitioners highly skilled in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, trained to provide the community with affordable healthcare services while fostering the growth and practice of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. We are institutionally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM) and currently offer both Master's level and Doctorate level degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Our master’s degrees in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine are also accredited to be offered in both Chinese and Korean Languages. The University operates a full-service Academic Teaching Clinic as well as a Private Practice Clinic where Students and Professional Licensed Practitioners of Acupuncture and herbal medicine deliver care to patients through each of our campus locations (Vienna, VA; Ridgefield, NJ; Duluth, GA).

Qualifications

  • People Person: our patient and student experiences are paramount. Our Receptionists must embody this fully and set an example for every employee in our clinic.
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Problem-Solving Skills
  • Strong Sales Ability is a must
  • Ability to Work as Part of a Team: we want someone who leads by example
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA and HIPPA
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Practice Reception/coordination: 1 year (Required)
  • High School (GED) Required; College Degree preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties of Clinic Receptionist:

  • Reports to: Clinic Manager
  • A reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented individual to provide support to patients
  • This position plans and coordinates all client care and reception training activities for the University’s Teaching and Private Clinic
  • Supports organization policies and procedures pertaining to personnel, federal and state regulations, daily operations, and support of medical care
  • Acts with empathy, compassion, and respect
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a professional environment in the clinic, including upholding the code of conduct and maintaining a positive attitude with patients, students, and staff
  • Adjusts operations as needed to maintain peak performance
  • Responsible for maintaining positive, productive, and professional relationships among the clinic staff, student interns, and faculty supervisors
  • Prepares the office for the addition and departure of practitioners, student interns, and staff; ensures smooth operational transitions
  • Assists with the growth and development of the clinic by working with staff to market to the public
  • Based on skills, this may include direct client care services
  • Responds timely to patient/student concerns and requests for information
  • Engages in service recovery activities as appropriate
  • Fosters staff engagement and productivity
  • Remains knowledgeable on all products
  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable environmental and regulatory policies and procedures for medical office operations, including quality and safety-related tasks, OSHA compliance, and internal measures
  • Appropriately notifies supervisor on issues regarding compliance, privacy, risk management, and legal issues
  • Assists as needed with any investigations and resolutions as well as compliance, legal, and safety event investigations
  • Assists in capturing content for our social media accounts

Salary and Benefits:

● Pay: $39-44K per year

● 13 paid holidays per year

● 10 days of paid vacation per year
