Job OverviewTo be responsible for the company logistics functions. Responsible for supply chain and transport management. Contributes to strategic decision-making and shaping the overall strategy of the company.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the project staff to ensure that the logistics needs of company are identified and met to a high standard.Ensure supplies and services are identified, procured and delivered on time to provide value for money, within company and to the right specifications.Define vehicle fleet requirements and ensure vehicle usage plans, insurance, maintenance and servicing are established.Ensure appropriate systems for monitoring the work of drivers and mechanics.Monitor compliance, review logistics activities, work with logistics and project staff to enhance the logistics support to the company.Responsible for setting up, managing and overseeing all logistics systems (procurement, transport and fleet management, storage, communications.Ensure all logistics systems and procedures comply with the company required operating licenses.Lead wider logistics functions and ensure clarity over plans and priorities, providing supervision, guidance and mentoring.Qualifications:Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or any relevant field. Professional certification in logistics or supply chain management.5-years experience in logistics management. Substantial technical (sector specific) logistics and procurement experience within the service sectorSkills / Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent leadership and management skills.High level negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.Good computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).
