<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><ul><li>The Computer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the organization&#39;s computer systems, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring that systems are functioning optimally.</li><li>This role involves monitoring network and server performance, maintaining records, and assisting users with technical issues.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br />System Monitoring andMaintenance:</p><ul><li>Monitor computer systems, servers, and networks for errors or performance issues.</li><li>Ensure backup processes are completed and maintain the integrity of data backups.</li><li>Perform regular system checks and routine maintenance to prevent downtime.</li></ul><p>Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:</p><ul><li>Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware, software, and network systems.</li><li>Work closely with the IT team to resolve more complex problems and escalate when necessary.</li><li>Log all issues, track their status, and update management on progress.</li></ul><p>User Support:</p><ul><li>Provide basic technical support to end-users for computer system access, software applications, and hardware.</li><li>Assist in setting up computers and peripheral equipment for new employees and office changes.</li><li>Educate users on best practices to avoid technical issues.</li></ul><p>Documentation and Reporting:</p><ul><li>Maintain detailed records of system performance, incidents, and downtime.</li><li>Document operational processes and create reports for management.</li><li>Update software and hardware inventory as part of routine audits.</li></ul><p>Data Management and Security:</p><ul><li>Monitor data center security and ensure data protection protocols are adhered to.</li><li>Manage and maintain data storage and archiving processes in line with data retention policies.</li><li>Implement and support data recovery procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in IT or computer science are a plus.</li><li>Proven experience as a Computer Operator or in a similar technical role.</li><li>Familiarity with various operating systems, network monitoring tools, and basic troubleshooting techniques.</li></ul>
