Overview
The Programs Manager at our Hospitality Academy will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, development, and execution of all educational programs offered by the academy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our training courses meet industry standards, are innovative, and effectively prepare students for successful careers in hospitality. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and a passion for education and training.
Key Responsibilities
. Program Development and Management:
- Design, develop, and update curriculum and training programs in line with industry trends and standards.
- Collaborate with industry professionals and experts to ensure content is relevant and up-to-date.
- Oversee the scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of all educational programs.
- Ensure that all programs meet accreditation standards and maintain the quality required for certification.
Faculty and Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage faculty members, instructors, and program coordinators.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the teaching staff to maintain high educational standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
Student Enrollment and Experience:
- Work closely with the admissions team to develop strategies for student recruitment and retention.
- Ensure a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed.
- Oversee the management of student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Industry Engagement and Partnerships:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the hospitality industry, including potential employers, partners, and sponsors.
- Organize industry events, guest lectures, and networking opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with industry partners to secure internships, job placements, and mentorship opportunities for students.
Operational Management:
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of educational materials, equipment, and software.
- Implement and monitor the effectiveness of all operational policies and procedures related to program delivery.
Marketing and Public Relations:
- Work with the marketing team to promote the academy’s programs through various channels.
- Represent the academy at industry events, conferences, and workshops.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials and campaigns to attract prospective students.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish and implement a system for continuous program evaluation and improvement.
- Analyze feedback from students, faculty, and industry partners to identify areas for improvement.
- Report on program performance to the Academy Director, including key metrics such as student outcomes, faculty performance, and industry engagement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in an educational or training capacity.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Proficiency in program management and curriculum development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of current trends and practices in the hospitality industry.
