<p><strong>Academics</strong></p><ul><li>OND/HND or B.Eng in any Engineering discipline e.g., Mechanical/Electrical/ Instrumentation/Chemical/& Petroleum Engineering.</li></ul><p><strong>Gender Preference</strong></p><ul><li>Female</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum of 8 years working as a field operations support with hands-on or supervisory discipline experience.</li><li>Membership of other professional bodies would be considered an added advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills Added advantage</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes PEFS and process drawings.</li><li>Skill level knowledge in running/managing in permit coordination.</li><li>Basic understanding of Distributed control system, preferably Emerson Delta-V.</li><li>Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office tools Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word</li><li>Excellent verbal and oral communication skills</li><li>Problem-solving and good analytical skills.</li><li>Self-Motivated and performs with minimal supervision.</li><li>Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems operation.</li><li>Experience in oil wellhead operations and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.</li><li>Ability to understand and perform production operations volume, pressure calculation.</li><li>Ability to understand unit of various variables i.e., pressure, volume, flowrate etc.</li><li>Onsite Hazards identification and Risk assessment capability.</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong coaching, mentoring, and listening skills who respect and value the opinions of others.</li><li>The ability to create and maintain cordial working relationships with colleagues.</li><li>Good Communication & team-working disposition.</li><li>Good organizational and Networking skills.</li><li>Committed to professional development, and continuous Improvement mindset.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability.</li><li>Problem-solving and good analytical skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities.</strong></p><p>The Field Operator will be responsible for the following:</p><ul><li>Operate oil and gas facilities and associated assets safely and efficiently in compliance with stipulated guidelines.</li><li>Deliver simple and complex activities in the plant.</li><li>Manage the shutdown permit and isolation management process.</li><li>Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.</li><li>Serves as PTW signatory.</li><li>Apply the HSSE policy, legislations applicable to crude oil production and export.</li><li>Adhere to plant operational procedures.</li><li>Monitor, control and record production rates and performance.</li><li>Start-up wells and facilities hot and cold start.</li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting on wells and facilities to ensure stability.</li><li>Perform daily first line monitoring of process parameters and variables.</li><li>Gather daily production data, determine the production performance.</li><li>Participate in console review meeting, Daily notification and YTT review meeting.</li><li>Prepare daily production report DPR.</li><li>Execute daily communication and Shift handover.</li><li>Ensure optimized chemical injection rates are followed as advised.</li><li>Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.</li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.</li><li>Prepare the wells and facilities/equipment for re commencement of production/processing.</li><li>Perform monthly well test and sampling of producing wells.</li><li>Perform periodic well integrity assurance tasks and activities.</li><li>Supervise preparation of equipment for maintenance including isolation, draining, steaming, and other procedures as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Cycle</strong></p><ul><li>The work location is field based.</li><li>The job activity period is daily on 12-hour 7am to7pm routine over a 21-day period.</li><li>There is a standard 3-weeks on and 3-weeks off schedule.</li><li>The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.</li><li>There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.</li><li>Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises.</li></ul>
