MAIN JOB DESCRIPTIONPlays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fast-paced power service business. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities to meet customer needs and uphold our commitment to excellence. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee all operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient business operationsCollaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and engineering, to understand customer requirements and deliver exceptional service. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and transportation partners to ensure timely and reliable delivery of equipment and spare parts.Monitor industry trends developments to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational enhancementsStay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to operations in the power solutions industryProvide regular reports and analysis on key performance metrics to management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending strategies for optimizationFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIESOperation Management:Oversees development, installation, and connection of generator sets by coordinating with on-site engineers. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to enhance efficiencyMonitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations, such as on-time delivery, equipment utilization, and cost control.Team Management:Lead and supervise technical personnel and on-site engineers, providing guidance, support, and  trainingFoster a positive work environment, promote teamwork and professional developmentConduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for growth.Ensure adequate staffing levels and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.Customer Service:Collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and expectations.Ensure effective communications with customers regarding delivery schedules, installation procedures, and operational issuesResolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner, emphasizing customer satisfaction and loyaltyIdentify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and provide recommendations for service improvements.KEY PERFORMANCE INDEXOn-time Delivery: Ensure a high percentage of on-time delivery of generator sets to customer sitesEquipment Utilization: Optimize the utilization of the rental fleet to maximize revenue generationInventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records to ensure availability of equipment and spare parts as neededCost Control: Monitor and manage logistics and operational costs to achieve budget targets.Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction levels through feedback, surveys, and repeat businessService Response Time: Minimize response time for customer inquiries, service request, and issue resolutionOperational Efficiency: Continuously improve operational process to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround timesSafety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations in all logistics and operational activities.Team performance: Evaluate and enhance the performance of the logistics and operations teams based on defined metricsSupplier Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of vendors and suppliers in terms timely delivery and quality of products.REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in operations management with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the equipment rental or power solutions industryExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailAbility to effectively manage a team, delegate tasks, and drive performance.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersProficient in using inventory management system and MS Office SuiteStrong analytical, technical and decision-making abilities to optimize operations and improve efficiency.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
