<p><strong>Purpose of Job</strong></p><ul><li>Ensuring the safe and effective operation of all areas and facilities in the organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Ensuring the safe and effective operation of all areas and facilities in the organization.</li><li>Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards.</li><li>Compile safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular staff meetings.</li><li>prevent accidents, respond to emergencies and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s safety programs.</li><li>Managing company HSE Policy</li><li>Providing HSE method statements.</li><li>Ensuring that all work- related risks are identified and assessed.</li><li>Ensuring proactive measures are developed to mitigate project hazards.</li><li>Conducting HSE audits at each project site and ensuring identified actions are taken.</li><li>Developing HSE Plan for each project.</li><li>Pre-mobilizing company field project equipment and ensuring certification is valid.</li><li>Ensuring that all members of staff adhere to safety procedures.</li><li>Ensuring that the company holds manufacturers’ safety data sheets for all substances used.</li><li>Ensure that all work environments are HSE compliant.</li><li>Conducting monthly HSE meetings.</li><li>Documenting HSE risks.</li><li>Calculating and documenting company HSE statistics and reviewing them to ensure that company HSE targets are achieved.</li><li>Ensuring appropriate First Aid and PPE are provided as and when due.</li><li>Ensuring that Fire Extinguishers are certified as and when due.</li><li>Ensuring that all staff and subcontractors are briefed and trained on identified safety issues and retain records.</li><li>Publicizing annual safety management systems.</li><li>Ensuring corporate compliance with all HSE rules and regulations.</li><li>To conduct HSE audits and inspections to assess company compliance with HSE plan.</li><li>Overseeing provision of guidance on HSE principles to all staff.</li><li>Handling a broad range of tasks, including various first-aid procedures and safety checks on equipment.</li></ul><p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p><ul><li>University degree in a related field</li><li>A minimum of 3 years’ HSE experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.</li><li>Valid safety courses.</li><li>Very sound written, communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Demonstrable ability to implement and supervise a HSE Management system.</li></ul>
