<p><strong>Description</strong></p><ul><li>As the Assistant General Manager of Human Assets Management/Admin at Dangote Group, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the workforce at our various facilities. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented while fostering a positive organizational culture that enhances employee engagement and performance.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Implement and administer human resources programs and policies to support the organization's strategic goals.</li><li>Lead recruitment efforts and ensure staff onboarding and training are completed promptly.</li><li>Oversee performance management systems and career development initiatives.</li><li>Support relations between management and employees by addressing grievances, managing conflict, and promoting a healthy work environment.</li><li>Monitor compliance with labor laws and company policies while ensuring employee rights are respected.</li><li>Administer pay and benefits programs and manage employee-related inquiries.</li><li>Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to foster employee engagement and retention.</li><li>Prepare and manage the HR budget and provide reports to senior management on HR metrics and trends.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Academic / Professional Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering and relevant discipline.</li><li>Professional qualification in HR Management e.g. Senior Professional in HR SPHR, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management CIPM will be an added advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of fifteen 15 years progressive HR work experience, 5 years must be in a senior management position.</li><li>Ability to deploy skills and competence in any of the HR Value Chain process.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Competencies</strong></p><ul><li>Good knowledge of the cement manufacturing industry in terms of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, legislation etc.</li><li>Very good knowledge and understanding of relevant HR management process areas such as organisation development, manpower planning, and recruitment.</li><li>Very good knowledge of techniques, tools and basic considerations for performing manpower/ workload analysis.</li><li>Good understanding of employee/industrial relations, as well as an appreciation of the dynamics of the labour and employment legislations in Nigeria.</li><li>Strong leadership and relationship management skills.</li><li>Very good presentation and communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organisation and project management skills</li><li>Very good business writing skills</li></ul>
