<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><ul><li>The Communications &amp; Partnership Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of Nuru Nigeria&#39;s communication strategies.</li><li>This position involves working closely with the Leadership and Partnership Director to create and disseminate compelling content across various channels.</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting and Supervision</strong></p><ul><li>The Communication &amp; Partnership Assistant will report to the Leadership and Partnership Director.</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br />Content creation:</p><ul><li>Support in developing engaging and impactful content for various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, websites, and press releases.</li><li>Conduct interviews, write success stories, and capture multimedia content from the field.</li></ul><p>Social Media Management:</p><ul><li>Manage and update Nuru Nigeria&#39;s social media platforms.</li><li>Monitor social media trends and engage with the online community.</li></ul><p>Media Relations:</p><ul><li>Assist in developing relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders.</li><li>Draft press releases, media kits, and handle media inquiries.</li><li>Coordinate internal and external communications, including emails, announcements, and notifications</li></ul><p>Event Support:</p><ul><li>Assist in organising and coordinating events, including workshops, conferences, and community outreach programs.</li><li>Capture and document key moments during events.</li></ul><p>Collaboration:</p><ul><li>Work closely with program teams to gather information and updates.</li><li>Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and other team members to enhance content.</li><li>Provide administrative support to the communication team</li><li>Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in content creation, preferably in a non-profit or development context.</li><li>Excellent writing and storytelling skills.</li><li>Proficient in social media management.</li><li>Basic knowledge of graphic design tools is a plus.</li><li>Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.</li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</li><li>Passion for community development and eradicating poverty.</li></ul>
