Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, prepare estimates, and ensure cost-effectiveness.The successful candidate will work on a range of projects, from concept to completion, ensuring accurate cost management and high-quality results.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage project estimates, budgets, and cost reportsConduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential cost issuesDevelop and implement cost-saving initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractorsEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsMentor junior quantity surveyors and techniciansRequirementsBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveyingProfessional certification (NIQS, RICS) preferredStrong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, codes, and standardsProficiency in cost management software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX)Excellent analytical and communication skills.Desirable Qualities:Experience with international construction contracts (FIDIC)Familiarity with Nigerian construction industry regulations and standardsStrong negotiation and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
