Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Lead to join our early years team and contribute to the growth and development of our youngest students.The Nursery Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery class, ensuring a safe, caring, and engaging environment for children.This role involves leading a team of nursery assistants, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, and collaborating with parents to support each child's learning journey.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring it meets the developmental needs of all children.Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration.Supervise and mentor nursery staff, providing guidance and support as needed.Develop strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.Monitor and assess each child's development, identifying and addressing any areas of concern.Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, following school policies and procedures.Collaborate with other school staff to integrate nursery activities into the broader school community.Qualifications and SkillsA Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create a nurturing, positive, and stimulating learning environment.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.First aid certification is preferred.
