Full Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and visionary Head of Social Content & Strategy to lead and shape Pulse Picks' social media presence. As the driving force behind our social content, you will establish and execute a cohesive strategy that elevates brand engagement, audience growth, and content innovation.
  • In this role, you will guide a talented team of Social Media Managers and Content Creators,crafting impactful content strategies that resonate with our audience.
  • You will be responsible for setting a clear vision, accelerating social growth, launching innovative content formats, and optimizing performance to ensure Pulse Picks maintains an engaging online identity.

Key Responsibilities
Vision & Mission Setting:

  • Define and communicate a clear vision and mission for Pulse Picks’ social media channels, centered on growth, authenticity, and community building.
  • Ensure all content aligns with this vision, establishing Pulse Picks as a go-to platform for product recommendations and lifestyle insights.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Establish and oversee a clear team structure and manage a team of Lead Creative Strategist, Social Media Managers, Content Creators, Channel Growth Managers, and Community Manager.
  • Define and allocate KPIs and responsibilities to ensure each team member aligns with and contributes to strategic brand goals.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Creative Strategist to guide and support Social Media Managers and content creators in delivering high-quality work while ensuring adherence to brand standards.

Creative Strategy & Content Planning:

  • Set monthly themes and strategic direction for the team to guide content ideation and topic selection, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and objectives.
  • Review and approve the always-on content calendar created by the Lead Creative Strategist, ensuring it meets quality and strategic standards before the QA stage.
  • Oversee final content review, validating that all proposed topics, videos, and schedules reflect brand guidelines and are ready for execution.
  • Work on launching new content series and formats tailored to grow audience engagement and diversify content offerings.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with collaborators on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok that expand brand reach and strengthen Pulse Picks' thought leadership position.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all video content and banner designs are error-free and align with brand standards.
  • Establish and maintain standard formats and guidelines to enhance and maintain Pulse Picks’ video quality.

Community Engagement:

  • Actively monitor community management efforts to foster a loyal and engaged audience, ensuring responses are timely, relevant, and aligned with brand voice.

Social Media Growth:

  • Develop and direct social media strategies to accelerate follower growth, reach, and engagement, guiding Channel Growth Managers to achieve targeted metrics through strategic, data-driven planning.
  • Develop tactics to drive community expansion across platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and TikTok, ensuring alignment with the overall brand vision, while guiding Channel Growth Managers in their execution.
  • Track and report on growth metrics, making data-driven decisions to adjust strategies and reach targets.

Performance Analysis & Optimization:

  • Work on monitoring social media KPIs and creating monthly engagement and growth reports.
  • Adjust content strategies based on data insights, focusing on what drives the highest engagement and follower retention.
  • Test new formats, post timing, and content themes, optimizing based on performance data to maximize reach and growth
  • Keep track of industry trends, audience feedback, and competitors to adapt Pulse Picks’ social media approach effectively.

Project Management:

  • Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely content delivery.
  • Manage end-to-end social media campaigns, coordinating team efforts to meet campaign targets.
  • Supervise creative projects to meet brand standards.

Copywriting & Ad Creation Oversight:

  • Oversee the copywriter in developing engaging copy for social media posts, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  • Guide the execution of social media ad campaigns, ensuring messaging effectively boosts audience engagement.
  • Review and refine copy variations based on performance metrics to optimize results and drive content effectiveness.

Portfolio:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise & leadership in social media strategy, social growth initiatives, content creation & planning, and successful campaign execution is required.

Key Objectives

  • Develop engaging and consistent content calendars for all platforms, ensuring alignment with Pulse Picks’ brand messaging and vision.
  • Drive noticeable improvements in social media engagement, reach, and follower growth by guiding and optimizing the work of Social Media Managers and Content Creators.
  • Utilize social media KPIs and analytics to refine content strategies, aiming for consistent increases in follower numbers, engagement rates, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Successfully launch and integrate new content series to diversify and engage the Pulse Picks audience.
