Location: Apo, Abuja.
Our client is seeking a passionate, skilled chef to create delicious meals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each dish is nutritious and cost-effective while adhering to the menu and food that meets the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will work 6 days a week, and get off days Saturdays by 6:00PM and resumes Sunday by 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served promptly.
- Working with the existing, and planning menu, keeping in mind the budget, and availability of seasonal ingredients.
- Overseeing all kitchen operations.
- Taking stock of ingredients and equipment, and placing orders to replenish stock.
- Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
- Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends.
- Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
Requirements:
- Past experience working as a home chef.
- Knowledge of the culinary arts.
- Must be versatile and good at local Nigerian delicacies and continental
- Perfectionism in sanitation and quality control.
- Portfolio of creative, unique dishes.
- Expert multitasking ability.
- Great leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to run stocktaking and place orders for resupply.
- Passion and pride for delighting people with food.
- A culinary school degree/diploma will be an added advantage.
