<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>To identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow</li><li>Develop and implement BD strategy for the company</li><li>Positioning in the appropriate markets</li><li>Lead the generation of sales leads, research, and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets</li><li>Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients</li><li>Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these</li><li>Draft client contracts and ensure the terms and suitable for the company and client</li><li>Liaise with appropriate teams to deliver BD mandate</li><li>Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate to seek business opportunities</li><li>Market and promote the organizational brand</li><li>Recruit, train and manage the performance of team members</li><li>Write and submit periodic reports</li><li>Perform any other job-related roles assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Know How, Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Geo Sciences</li><li>Master&rsquo;s in business related field is an added advantage</li><li>3 years&rsquo; experience in a similar role is desirable</li><li>Knowledge of business processes</li><li>Research and analytical skills</li><li>Customer service skills</li><li>Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets</li><li>interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Leadership skills</li><li>Presentation skills</li><li>IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets</li><li>Team working skills and a collaborative approach to work</li><li>project management and organizational skills</li><li>Negotiating skills.</li></ul>
