<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><ul><li>The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the company&#39;s procurement activities.</li><li>This includes sourcing and purchasing high-quality materials, goods, and services at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery to support the company&#39;s production and operational needs.</li><li>The role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.</li></ul><p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials, goods, and services.</li><li>Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain a reliable supplier network.</li><li>Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, goods, and services.</li><li>Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.</li><li>Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to meet production schedules and operational needs.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to understand their procurement requirements and provide support as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to procurement.</li><li>Conduct regular evaluations of suppliers to ensure quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.</li><li>Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to procurement, such as delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns.</li><li>Continuously seek opportunities to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.</li><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and market trends.</li><li>Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.</li></ul><p>Required Competencies:</p><ul><li>Negotiation and supplier management skills.</li><li>Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Understanding of financial and budgeting principles.</li></ul>
