<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements and dimensions for furniture components.</li><li>Set up and operate a range of machining equipment, including CNC Computer Numerical Control routers, Edge banding and saws, to fabricate wooden parts and components.</li><li>Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining operation, ensuring proper alignment and setup.</li><li>Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and production quality.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.</li><li>Inspect machined parts for defects, deviations from specifications, and quality issues, and make necessary adjustments to machining parameters or tooling to meet quality standards.</li><li>Collaborate with other members of the production team, including designers, engineers, and assemblers, to coordinate workflow and ensure timely completion of projects.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of machining activities, including production output, material usage, and equipment maintenance, using computerized systems or manual logs.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma with additional vocational training or certification in machining or CNC programming preferred.</li><li>Proven experience 5 years working as a machinist in the furniture industry.</li><li>Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.</li><li>Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials used in woodworking.</li><li>Excellent mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.</li><li>Attention to detail and ability to maintain precision and accuracy in machining operations.</li></ul>
